Manage your time
Set yourself a schedule and try and stick to it by setting realistic time frames. Have a to do list, a long term list for the future and a priority list for the here and now tasks. Check out our blog how stop multitasking and focus for further tips.
Hit your hardest tasks head on!
Tough tasks can loom over you, get it done first thing in the morning - the feeling of accomplishment (and relief) will motivate you for the rest of the day.
Keep a clear head We all have a million ideas whizzing around our head at work. Have a designated “brain dump” area, put all your thoughts and ideas down paper. This will clear your mind and help you concentrate on your current task.
Take your breaks Have your break, lunch, holidays! Time away gives your brain time to reboot and you can go back to your tasks with a clear mind. Simply leave your desk, go for a walk and have a chat with colleagues, moving has been proved to enhance mood.
Love your colleagues Respect and trust is crucial to a happy and productive team. Take time to listen to your colleagues. Often two heads are better than one. At Riada we have daily team meetings to swap ideas, catch up on what's going on and help each other out. Also we would recommend to join in with company social events. We know its your free time but it is invaluable time getting to know your colleagues outside the pressures of work.
