Tell us what you did before Riada
After graduating, I moved to Kent where I joined a large recruitment agency as a Trainee. From the get go I loved the pace and daily challenges the job offered me as well as the chance to deal with a wide range of people. I worked there for 11 years, specialising in Accountancy & Finance recruitment at first and then progressed to Business Manager within the agency. I eventually relocated back to Dungiven and transferred to their Belfast office.
What influenced you to pursue your chosen career in Recruitment?
I've not met anyone who says 'when I grow up I want to become a Recruitment Consultant. As with many people after University there was no obvious career path into recruitment and I seemed to fall into it! Thankfully I haven't looked back. It has proved to be a highly worthwhile career with endless boundaries where I have been able to combine my people skills alongside working in a challenging and rewarding environment.
And now you're in Riada...
Since joining the Riada team in January 2015, I have become the Business Development Manager of the newly launched Riada Office division and have my own team working with me. We specialise in HR, Accountancy and Office Support. I am excited to work with my team and all the Riada recruiters to really drive the business forward by developing relationships with existing clients as well as forging relationships with new organisations.
I hope that everyone we already work with get a real sense of the genuine value we place on building lasting relationships with our clients and candidates. We pride ourselves on helping others and delivering the best results we can. It may sound cliche but any opportunity where I can help candidates further their careers or clients move their business forward is a highlight!
As a growing company, I’m impressed by the ongoing personal and professional development Riada has offered through training courses, seminars and business events. Being part of the Riada team who achieved the IIP Gold award was definitely very rewarding!
