At Riada, we believe in the power of community and the importance of looking after our mental health. To mark this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we participated in a series of meaningful activities designed to raise awareness and encourage open conversations about mental wellbeing.

On Thursday, we kicked off our participation by taking part in "Wear it Green Day" — a simple yet powerful way to show our support for Mental Health Awareness Week. Our staff members wore green to symbolise our commitment to mental health advocacy and the message that every mind matters.

It was amazing to see how this small act created a sense of unity, reminding us that mental health is something we all share responsibility for — and that together, we can make a positive difference.

On Friday, we took our commitment to mental health one step further by heading to the local park for a team picnic. With the theme of community at the heart of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, it was the perfect opportunity for us to come together in a relaxed, natural setting, spending time outdoors and recharging our minds.

Our staff from across all offices enjoyed a peaceful picnic in the park, where we took time to unwind, connect, and foster a sense of belonging. This gathering allowed us to embrace the simple joys of community — something that can have a profound impact on our mental health.

Spending time outdoors has been proven to boost mood, reduce stress levels, and increase overall feelings of wellbeing. Being in nature, even for a short while, encourages mindfulness and helps us step away from our busy routines. It’s a small but powerful way to support mental health — and a reminder that sometimes, the best thing we can do is take a moment, breathe deeply, and enjoy our surroundings.

Mental Health Awareness Week is a chance for all of us to reflect on the importance of mental wellbeing and how we can support each other. The activities we took part in this week were just one small way to contribute to the larger conversation and remind our team of the importance of looking after ourselves, both physically and emotionally.

At Riada, we are committed to promoting a supportive and open environment where mental health is a priority. Whether through team activities, open conversations, or simply taking a break to breathe, we aim to create a space where our staff feel empowered to take care of their mental health every day. Creating opportunities to connect, unwind, and support one another is just one of the many ways we invest in our people at Riada. We’re proud to foster a workplace culture that values wellbeing, teamwork, and growth — not just during Mental Health Awareness Week, but all year round.
If you’d like to be part of a team that prioritises both professional success and personal wellbeing, we’d love to hear from you!
