Looking after people and the planet
Following on from achieving Investor in People Gold it would have been easy to stop and say that’s enough, but that’s not how we do things at Riada Resourcing. We gave ourselves the target of achieving both new BSI standards. We already had the ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008 certification, but we wanted to achieve the most up to date standard.
In case you aren’t familiar:
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organisations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, gaining a competitive advantage and the trust of stakeholders.
Some feedback from our report:
“Riada provide temporary and permanent recruitment services in the North of Ireland. They have developed a business strategy around improved customer service, collaborative working relationships and enhanced environmental performance. This strategy was evidence throughout the assessment. The business has achieved 100% in its transition process to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. The business has completed its strategic review to ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008.
This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.”
So why is this important. These management systems mirror Riada’s values on customer service, focusing on clients and candidates instead of purely business goals. We pride ourselves in ‘making excellence a habit’. We might even be the first and only recruitment Agency in NI to have the hattrick of Investors in People Gold, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
